I used to think it was a jolly good wheeze to start with a word with 4 vowels in it to get a good idea of vowels. I mostly got to the answer but not usually in less than 4.
I changed yesterday and have now got two threes in a row

That's what I used to do. It's not a good strategy because it's the consonants that you need to know. I changed my strategy about a month ago and my average score has gone down considerably.
