I have decided on a new strategy for a starting word. I will pick 5 letters from the word prince and I think that will put me in good stead when the word is either nonce or paedo. The only downside to my strategy is only one letter if it turns out to be sweat. But pizza would be OK.

I genuinely start with the word sweat! So if I get none then does that legally rule out nonce or paedo?

Yep - misread the squares as you having 4 letters in the right place rather than just 4 right letters.

Me too so I googled it, found this handy little thing https://www.wordhippo.com/what-is/word-finder-unscrambler.html and it turns out there is a word.

However it is an odd thing to chose as a guess in wordle - I can't say what it is exactly on here due to spoilers but the definition is "of sheep; having dangling locks of wool"

After my first 6 yesterday, back on it today with a 3.

13 in a row, average exactly 4

5 different letters to my first go. It’s my new system - cover the top 10 most frequently used letters in my first 2 goes then go from there. I had hoped that this approach would improve my average (at the expense of guaranteeing I’d never get a 2 - unless I fluked something like 3 greens on my first go, when I’d abandon the system; or getting 5 blanks on my first go).

So far, 5 days in, my average has worsened , though today is exactly what I’d hoped might happen from time to time. Mind you, there’s been an American spelling (which I wasn’t expecting) and a really tough word in those 5 days, so the data is somewhat skewed so far.

Mine is 4.18 with streak of 18 and no fails.

Question for anyone though what constitutes a winning streak? I had one 6 in my 22 games - does that imply a 6 isn’t a win(happened in one of my early goes so wondered if that’s why or whether it’s because ai missed a day at some point early on)
