So do you always start with the same word?

I seem to have a few that give me a decent start. I try to use something like STEAM so I have a couple of Vowels. I also like to have an S so i know if it is something plural.

I start with AEGIS and then YOUTH. They have all the vowels plus letters like S an TH are fairly common.

Got it in 5 as well...

Blanks are pretty helpful, as long as you aren't repeating used letters

4 today.

My third guess was a Goldstone favourite. On reflection not the best bet!

Why did you omit S from lines 3 and 4 ...?

Your AEGIS followed by YOUTH strategy seems good for regular 3s and 4s...

I'm playing by the rule that you have to use all achieved info from line 1 into line 2 - which is less formulaic.

I've played 16 times now and I've yet to see a plural, so I don't think the game uses them. If so then using S in one's opening gambit might not be as useful as you might think. Having said that the setter does seem to like non plurals with an S in, no doubt to confuse.

I use the same word each day - IRATE - as suggested on NSC. Even if it gives you lots of blanks, those blanks are giving you lots of intelligence to work from. I defo don't use a second word to eliminate more letters. I use deduction and guesswork after the first word.
BadFish consensus on here is that Wordle doesn't use plurals - but may be wrong!
