I am thinking if there are draws in the knock out stages, the dates for the next round will rollover until the previous round is completed

I’m using the same starter word every day too, that has never been the Wordle. Imagine the drama if we both have the same word and it comes up on the day we play each other in a knock-out game!

That would be extraordinary, and incredibly frustrating!

There are approx. 2000 words in the Wordle dictionary. Your word is in there as it is accepted when entered so there's a 1/2000 chance which increases slightly each day.

If the game ran for 5.5 years, it would definitely come up (assuming duplicates solutions haven't been programmed in) - whether it comes up between now and the end of this comp is the question!

It would be quite the coincidence but I wanted to get it on the record just in case the miracle happens to happen during the competition!

I randomly alternate between 2 starting words that have not yet been the solution so there could be quite a few of us out there!!

I use a range of 5 or 6 different ones depending upon mood. They usually ensure I get it in 4 or 5, but rarely in 2 or 3. If someone wants to lend me a surefire winner for tomorrow I would be grateful.

In yesterday's Wordle I was stuck and was almost randomly putting words in, to try to reveal patterns. Usually I didn't hit Enter. I put in POWNY and stupidly hit Enter (on a World Cup day as well). I was amazed when it turned out to be a valid word - not in my dictionary and according to the interweb old Scottish dialect for a pony. Who knew?
