For some words, getting four greens on the first go might be the easiest way to fail. One of the words a week or two back was Night, or similar I think. If you guessed Sight on the first go there would be about 8 other possibilities for that first letter

ELFIN will rule out four possibilities and has a good chance of giving you your missing letter for a three. THROW will give you all but MIGHT and (unlikely) BIGHT, DIGHT and KIGHT so almost definite four.
