I have a Yamaha XT500 1976.

Unfortunately it's in bits - i have not been out on it for about 10 years.

Wot fun it was i must put it back together.

Nice little bikes. Lightweight with a willing motor. No good for 13 St lardarses like me though

The TS250 may not have the top end, (60 if you're lucky, with a tail wind, down a cliff face), but it;s got loads of low down power to ease you through the slalom that is our tin cage filled, rutted, rush hour streets.

I had one of them from the same era in the mid '80s. I replaced it with a PE250 from Beamish Suzuki (remember them) which was very different. Both good fun. Wouldn't like to ride one on the road now though.

You have to tape up the speedo, but apparently 10,000 in top gear = 155mph..!
