I seem to be having ongoing problems with the cash on my smart card.

Firstly, next to no transactions show up online when I search, nomatter what I set the date range to be. On the day of the Spurs game my card kept 'breaking' tills and without seeing a full list of transactions, I can't be sure that I wasn't charged each time even though, on each occasion, I wasn't given any pies and beer.

And now, when checking my credit card statement, I've seen that when I did a £100 top-up in the Queens Road shop on the morning of the Spurs game, I was actually charged twice, so £200. And, from what I can see, there is no way £200 was credited to my card - just £100.

Is is all going very well for everyone else? Is it just me that's a bit card special?

My £100 top up I did on line on 30th July came through on my statement twice. I've been promised time and time again by the club that they'll sort it, and today - 5 weeks after I originally made them aware of the problem - I have given up giving them the benefit of the doubt and disputed the transaction with American Express.

Prety much exactly this. Topped up £100 just before the Donny game, American Express statment showed 2x £100. Called club who wern't much help. Then went to the American Express disputes department and had the ammount credited back on my card by the end of the week.

I don't normally check my statements that closely at all, so glad I spotted this extra £100 I'd been charged.

I'll "ask the club" - I wonder how many people have been double charged and didn't realize it. The club should be proactively resolving such problems.

A proviso of the negotiations for naming of the stadium. If you read the small print on your Amex card conditions, they are allowed to recover their sponsorship by charging card users twice.

Though from a glass half full perspective that's double BA miles (or whatever they're called now) innit?

Once Amex got involved I had my £100 refunded in less than a week. Based on experience, I wouldn't wait for the club to sort it out.

I appreciate they have a lot of new processes to manage, and sometimes things don't go as smoothly as they could - but to knowingly sit on a customers £100 for 5 weeks, which they never had the authority to take in the first place, is quite frankly SHIT.
