Don't have a bike but we always head down for a wander and watch all the bikes come in.

Yep i'm there, Sold my bike a month or so back, but I've managed to blag a Victory for the weekend.
I've gone from a Litre Sports bike to a cruiser, I must be getting old !

Happens to us all

I picked up my new Honda cbf1000 yesterday so will be running in down to Brighton.

Whats the weather forecast for Brighton. Its normally a sweltering hot day for this Ace run.

I thought the point was ride an old bike to the ace run ?

Seeing as were quoting bikes, not sure if i will take the 30 year stead i restored or the modern trusty 14

No what gave you that idea ? It's not the pioneer run ! There'll be all sorts of bikes down there from the old one to band new ones, Customs and standards, trikes and quads and even some old custom cars too.
I love the Ace Cafe Reunion !!!

Is the correct answer. But dont forget the shit scooters, who somehow seem to think they have street cred now.

I dont suppose there are that many of us that remember biking up to the the original Ace Cafe, all those years ago from Brighton.

Spoke to a guy in front of the pier last year who spent the whole day sitting on his scooter wearing the mod suit and glasses it total hapiness of everyone who was taking pics of him and his scooter.

I asked where he was from and with a very thick west country acent said Bristol,

What time did you set off thsi morning i asked, oh i did'nt, came down last night with the scooter in the back of the van !!!!!!

It was long haul all those years ago with no M23 or M25.

Yep the new owners have got it well sorted now with special days for all manner of bikes and cars.

I've also been a few times with my Triumph and BMW bikes. Lots of Nostagia

I think one of the Channel Five car progs (Fifth Gear?) is presented from there and the place is done up in the original livery.

This is not uncommon you know, I have seen it done a fair bit at scooter rallies.....

The Ace Cafe is cool, They have allsorts going on there Custom hot rod nights,Scooters, Classic and new bikes even i think the new done up boy racer car nights. And of course gigs (theres one on tonight) all kinds of music from Ska/Oi/Punk/Rockabilly/Psychobilly. They really do cater for everyone not just the ton up boys of yesteryear which is grrrrrrrrrrr8

just hop theres no casualties this year as a friend died last year on the way down she was struck on a roundabout on the way down and died on the scene. R.I.P

Mate of mine is running the Kettle club stand , thats along that end so will make a point of looking.
