The real toilet is slb's as it is pure concrete,a ground without a heart unlike tha alvalade.I have been lucky enough to have spread the word of the mighty ALBION in Lisboa over the last 15 years and Sporting fans are superb unlike benfica with there "I'm better than you" attitude.

I went to the old ground in 2000 and i really want to go back there to see the redeveloped ground to see how they have changed it.

Watching England Away must be fun, but depressing at the same time?

The Alvalade does have a better atmosphere I must admit, I'm on the fence, I try to see either if the timing's right. The Luz is concrete on the outside (Arsenal obviously had more money to finish their version better) but it's nice on the inside, but... too big for the gates they get... (hmm, there's a thought for the future)

One thing I have noticed in Portugal, is that no-one seems to support teams outside the big three - SLB, Sporting and Porto. I also saw Os Belenenses, the third team - 1,500 for a FIRST division game against another local-ish team on the outskirts of Lisbon (Amadora), in a 25,000 stadium.

I hope this isn't future here. Increasingly people at work only support one of the big four. My SLB supporting mate is amazed we get 5,500 in the third division. Their equivalent would only get 30.

Glad you're spreading the word about the Albion. I wore the stripes recently playing 5-a-side over there, has to be done!

I have been watching games in Portugal over the last 17 years and i don't think the attendence has changed in that time. The "big three" have always dominated as its a tradition to support one one of them even though you may never go and watch them.
