Worthing
Been a few times - not for a while. Nice area in general, although large parts of the area are often closed, as they are military land that is used for live weapons testing - tanks and all that.

There's an experimental nuclear reactor 3 miles up the road that was decommissioned in the 90's.

Should be safe though.!!

As said, head further down the coast, Bridport way. I'm there every couple of months and love it. In fairness I've never been to Lullworth.
It's a nice base for Lyme, Chessil, Abbotsbury.

Get yourself to Chideock, every way you go is a great walk (I can list the pubs you'll pass, for you!) and it's close enough to Bridport.

I've been that way many times and it is indeed lovely. Bridport and Lyme Regis are particularly nice towns but, as other people have pointed out, you can't go far wrong wherever you go around there.

Go a bit further north and you can go drinking by the River Piddle

You'll have some fun and laughter, there, with the adventures of Portland Bill.

Junior and I swam out round the rock and back, he was only around 8 at the time so pretty impressive.

Suggest you don't try it this weekend as the sea might be quite chilly
