Had four days there after the world cup final 86! If you want anything ask a taxi driver. People seem quite cheap there, a little bit sad tbh

I had a great time there. Drove a rental car from Oaxaca. Acapulco was scary driving .. . Lots of 30's Motels and mid Century modern hotels. Interesting place to wander around. With new and old parts. I had to go and see La Quebreda Cliff divers as I had been fascinated by them since school. 3 days would be enough for me and places such as Peurto Escodido are busily quieter.

Id never give advice based on murder rate, but I'm thinking there must be a better option.

Went in the late 80's when touring the states, bit of a dive really, excuse the pun. Remember a lot of poor people on the streets and a lot of VW beetles for some reason.

Nothing special, but could have changed.
