Confusing, because Portslade Station is on the Boundary Road side.

Westdene Butchers in Eldred Avenue (5 min walk from Withdean stadium) sell it. They are South African and really nice and friendly.

Have to say Susmans stukkies (long thin strips off biltong) are absolutely devine.

There's an old client of mine who makes his won stuff over here for restaurants etc. His company is Susmans Best Beef Biltong and I believe has a deli counter in the unit. Think it's on Avis Way Newhaven.

What is it?

Its a dried meat used as a food substitute, ideally stored on a lifeboat... similar to a Texan Bar of yore, quite simply " 'cos it takes time a'chewing"

I had it on good authority from a validated Hairy-Backed Voortrecker that Saffer babies go straight from the breast to Biltong. Explains their skills at rugby ...
