But ID wasnt compared to ticket or anything so people chancing it would've been fine

Yes, we got checked but they were stewards from three Amex and I think they recognised us anyway.

Yes, got my ID checked but as said earlier it wasn't compared to the ticket (which didn't have any details on anyway) so I'm not sure what the point was.

Had to show driving licence but not sure what it proved, as others said there was nothing on the ticket to check against.

I was asked at the gate and showed him a fiver, he laughed and said that's fine except wrong colour. I think it was more of a pi55 take than by order.

I showed my bus pass to a Palace steward as I went through the turnstiles - reminding him that it was us old gits who were around in the seventies.
