I'm going to be in southern Spain on sunday which probably means watching the final in a bar full of Spaniards. Given it's peak holiday season, does anybody else find themselves in this unfortunate yet hilarious situation?

I live in Spain. Everyone in my village has been saying from before the tournament that England are favourites, and were baffled by my insistence that we were not. And yet here we are, in the final. Don't plan to be giving it too large because I still see Spain as strong favourites but at least they gave us some indication tonight of what they're capable of, and you just never know in a one-off...

In Madeira for the final. Who will the Portuguese support then? Is there a pro or anti football feeling towards their near neighbour?

Paging @Javeaseagull for suggestions of where to watch the final in their neck of the woods.
Sorry for the delay in replying, I am hungover! Literally every bar will be showing it as, for the first time, it's on free to air channel LA1. Personally I will be at home just in case we win. Who knows? It could happen :D

Any recommendations for a bar that will be England-friendly? Or will they all be happy to have both Spain and England fans mixing?

There are no Brit bars near me but I imagine the Arenal will be rammed with Brits and Spanish. I will be very surprised if there is any aggro.

A bar full of Spaniards in Southern Spain, I doubt it l, a bar full of English more like!

Believe it not, there are quite a few Spaniards in southern Spain :lolol:

I'll be watching in my local bar with a few other English but we'll be heavily outnumbered.

I expect a bit of good-natured banter whether we win or lose. Looking forward to it.
