If you want a bit of culture you had better hire a car as Paphos is a bit overrun with Pizza Huts, Irish Bars and McDonalds. Head to Polis which is a lovely spot about 45 minutes away. Much more laid back.

Also enjoy some Cypriot Delight.

It's exactly the same as Turkish Delight................except it's Cypriot.

Just a quick question, when we went there last year we noticed how warm the pools were in our area, is it the same everywhere on the island? we asked the rep and she said that they can't do anything about it because the sun is so hot..

Have to be honest, only once we have ever used a swimming pool (well that I can remember) and that was in Paphos sort of centre and the pool was cold my wife has just informed me, but that was not at the height of there summer.

The other thing i have noticed is others saying about mossys, only time i ever remember mossys was when we went up in the mountains and even then they never bothered us, and most of our visits there have been during the main part of there summer......maybe we just got lucky.

There's a bar called the nag's head which shows fools and horses all day on a loop.

went to protaras a couple of years ago. I really liked cyprus, locals were friendly, weather blazing hot and the food is proper nice as long as you stick to the cypriot stuff - calamari, kleftico, dolmades, stefado

Nice place if you like, English bars, fish and chips shop, tea rooms and fat english men in union jack shorts singing 'here we go'. Go to north Cyprus, lot more fun.......
