I can't get on board with the view 'we are a better team without him', just having him in the squad and fit to either start or come off the bench is great. I cant wait to see him link up with the new signings.

He didn't look 100% when he came off the bench against Cardiff and I'm sure he is going to be back in training before too long.....

Sorry, but how do you know all this? There is no chance that he is working with the Valencia medical team. Do you honestly think he would a) go back there after what happened a few years back (which is documented) and b) that they would treat a player that isn't theres.......dont you think the Albion might have a say in that.....seeing as he is our player.

You even end your post with " in all honesty, does anyone know where he is"

I personally dont know where he is. Chances are is that he is trying to get fit, much in the same way as Hoskins is. Both players might be able to take some time away from the club......as injured players are.

I think we would be a better team with Vicente in it. Last season there was an element of always passing to him, but that was becuase we were an inferior side to this years. I cant see the same happening this year.

As far as I know he's at home, obviously his wife hasn't settled and needs to be home with her parents after the birth of their child. I believe he is working with the Valencia medical team to try and get fit as he trusts them more, which isn't good news but at the same time I cannot sure about that; in all honesty, does anyone really know where he is?

Vicente is a quality player, but often we become a one man team when he plays, without him I feel as though we are more of a team and play better as a result. Even if he doesn't play another game for the Albion, he is by far and away the best player I have seen in the stripes

I can.

That is until he then plays and I realise just how good he is, and what bollox that statement actually is.

I am sure we'll get the usual wheres wally crap on here but I just wondered if there was any official word on Vicente, is he back training?.

looks like Mr V is on his way back!

Gus said which means its true:wink:

"Vicente is still doing his individual work. From what I have seen this morning he should be back in full training with us on Monday-week. We will intensify his training over the next ten days and he will join us after Birmingham."

He should have qualified that statement ... I'd be delighted if that all happened but I fear it might not go quite as planned

Maybe we should have him on a pay as you play?

If we didn't negotiate that at the outset, which seemingly we didn't, no way it could get changed mid term. Impossible to know but with his record I'd have thought that at the very least the club would have negotiated a lower "basic" with appearance bonuses. But there's likely to be only 1 or 2 in the know in respect to the detail of any player contract. I just hope he returns, if he does and is 100% I think it would be fantastic ... I'm just not optimistic and not sure he isn't using the injury stuff to get the club back to the negotiating table

The positive thing about him having another injury break is surely that he won't attract any interest in Jan? Can you imagine if he played 90-100% of our games first half of the season and racked up loads of assists and goals? We would have offers coming from everywhere!!

as said on Player this morning at the Millwall press conference. All players are training but at different levels.
