Any Team But Liechtenstein

There Premiership & SPL players playing part-timers. One of their team couldn't get the time of at the bank where he works to play. The celebration was OTT.

They were 2 football teams playing football on the same pitch. One team scored a 96th minute winner in a game they should have easily won, they celebrated like a weight was lifted off their shoulders. It had been, they'd won the game. The celebration was normal and within reason.

Stat deserves a ban for tempting fate. :nono: Was that Fergie time at the end? :tantrum:

Your probably right, but that glorious 17 minutes had to be celebrated. :rave:

Pathetic. It doesn't matter who you're playing or at what level, when you score a last minute winner the emotion and passion in that moment will always lead to celebrating like the Scots did.

What do you think the Greeks were saying about England when Beckham hit that freekick against them to get us into the World Cup?

Football is an emtional game, anyone who has played it knows.

Are we talking about the same Greek side who went on to win the European Championships two years later? It's hardly the same is it?

That was embarrassing. Not so much the result but the wild celebrating when they got that winner in the seventh minute of added time. It was LIECHTENSTEIN, not Latvia or Luxembourg or some other team that Scotland might be pleased to beat.

Have to say I was actually pleased. I thought Liechtenstein were a disgustingly dirty side and I'm pleased they had what woukld have been for them a good result snatched away at the last moment.

But those celebrations. I'm embarrassed to be British.

Is it Fixtures that the SFA had to apologise profusely to the Liechtenstein FA because the home fans roundly booed the Liechtenstein national anthem? Why would they do that? Because its the same tune as the English national anthem

It's actually exactly the same because we're talking about celebrating like you've just "won the World Cup", which the Greeks could quite easily say about our celebrations of Becks' stunner. It's the emotion of football, I find complaining about celebrations to be nothing but miserable and sad.

I saw that on SSN, THPP. :lolol: Classic Scotland.

Most Scots think Liechtenstein is a red coloured cheese made in the Midlands which is where the confusion occurred.
