Any STHs still struggling to buy Aston Villa tickets online?

Spent ages trying to link my sons to my account, only to be refused at Basket as it says I need to pre purchase season tickets before I can make a second purchase!! What is this all about? Me & my 4 sons are all S/T holders. I also sent email to club last week for logins for rest of my family who are white members - no reply. I'd send by post but I don't think the post is being collected as we aren't receiving any.

Hi,

Blue member here + 2 other blueies, just tried to purchase 3 tickets using F+F [we have done friends and family before so know that works]

and we get:

A pre-requisite product must be purchased prior to being used to make a second purchase. Membership purchases may require approval before they may be used as a pre-requisite. You must have previously purchased the following product Season Ticket 2009/2010. You will need to reallocate these items to another customer and update your basket.

Wondering if they haven't flicked the switch to open it up to Blueies?

Same problem here. Probably not updated the system yet, to allow blue members to purchase. Rung the ticket office, option 5, and got cut off. Will try later. I don't think the ticket office opens until 10.00.

For some reason they haven't made them available yet to blue members. Still season ticket holders only. Hope the ticket office isn't closed again today because of the weather.

Edit to add: Open & all sorted.

Amongst all the problems would just like say well done to the club. No trouble for me, simple straight forward process done in under 2 minutes from logging on. Top work

10:05 Nightmare over - 1 ticket purchased

There must be a better way!

Hint - there is!

Some football sites show you seat positions available on a schematic, and a pannable zoomable view of pitch from that postition.

It may seem a bit unfair, but some systems are judged more by their failure rate than their success rate.

Think car brakes, next time you really need them ...

Very rare to be able to do that when buying 'away' tickets though ? I.e from your home team site, going to an away game.

Only seen that for national stadiums too, Ajax ArenA, Olympic Stadium in France etc

That may be true but only because people make the problems public while people who are successful don't communicate that every time. Would imagine the vast majority of people who wanted a Villa ticket have been able to get one without hassle anyway.

As to your other point could you point me in the direction of clubs that allow away fans to select their seats? Home tickets yes as the Albion do but away...

Send me full details of everyone, name, address, DOB and FAN Number (it's on season tickets) and level of membership.
