The really sad thing in all of this is that Sami Hyypia is a decent man.

I feel the same. if it was billy Davies it would be easy to hate, but Hyypia actually seems like a nice bloke just a crap manager.

Agree. He hasn't said anything nasty, he hasn't slated the fans for booing him, I think he knows he's in the mire but until someone puts him out of his misery it's in his nature to keep going

Can understand him not wanting to leave for a few reasons. The money obviously, but must also be a sense of pride that he believes he can turn this round and doesn't want to leave the club now as it would put his reputation as a manager in the gutter. It's harder for a new younger manager in his first years as a boss, he doesn't have the same CV as someone like Ian Holloway who could afford to resign from Palace but be pretty safe in the knowledge he would get another job. Sami won't have that luxury.

I do think we need a new manager but I have absolutely nothing against Hyypia himself and won't subject him to any personal abuse at games.

Agreed, I'm actually feeling quite sorry for him, I just wish he'd stop making his strange decisions like playing Chicksen instead of Bennett and selecting Caskey AND Gardner together.

Yep, the loan player merry-go-round each week is farcical. How can you build a team up by having to rotate the loan player you leave out each week. That may not be Sami's doing though, if the club pushed the loan signings and there is an agreement as to how much they have to play then Sami's hand is forced.

Playing JFC in a defensive role is killing him, have him as an attacking midfielder and he'd be great, but him having to muck in and do the dirty stuff in the middle of the pitch too just isn't his game. Needs a break from the team.

I hear a rumour that Tony has lost all credibility by opting to keep hold of our worst ever manager.
