The Greek restaurant called Gr/eat in Terminus Road is our current favourite, will need to book though. The meze is quite magnificent if you are rather hungry. We’ve not had a bad meal in there and it’s usually very busy.

Italian - Locanda Del Duca is next for Pomodoro’s, same owners but a bit more upmarket. Never had a bad meal in there either.

Two Bulls is a great steak restaurant in Old Town too.

Plenty of pubs do decent food too like The Dolphin, Bibendum and The Lamb.

Thanks very much for your suggestions, they will all be in the mix.

Could easily say the same about Worthing. [emoji14]

There was a great quote in the Observer a couple of years ago in the section where they talk about what it is like to live in different places around the country.

The article was about Bexhill and some local had said "People say Bexhill is where people go to die but they are wrong, that is Eastbourne. Bexhill is where their parents live."

Final 6 is as follows:

CRU

7 Bone Burger Co.

Meze

K-Star

GR-EAT

Pomodoro

It's down to elimination, she chooses first, updates to follow....

Just a word of warning if you go 7bone you cant book a table and it gets very busy on weekends and might have to wait. Bloody good burgers though especially if you like them pink

enjoy !

That is a great quote, it's also wrong as Bexhill has an average age that is 4 years higher than Eastbourne!

Been there a few times in the last month - someone has mentioned Tuk Tuk already, so I’ll second that. Tapas style Indian. Very tasty. Obviously wherever you go avoid having a dessert, go get an ice cream afterwards from Fusciardi on the front.

I'm not going to lie, I'm tempted to do a Pole...:)

Ah. You’ll find the greatest concentration of them living around Spalding at this time of year. They’re quite tired after a hard day in the fields, but you can normally find one (two, if you’re lucky) who are up for it.

Good luck, and Happy Birthday!
