Is the pressure low, is there a dial showing this? If so, under the boiler will be a couple of taps. Open these slowly and you should see the pressure rise, you shouldn't need to go more than a 3rd round the dial - about 10 oclock. Then re-set the boiler, the rise in pressure should kick start the thing - I'm also not a plumber, but our boiler suffers from this from time to time

you certianly don't turn all the taps, you DO need to increase the pressure- but not too much or you'll blow your boiler up.

pressure should be between 1-2, and certianly never above 3.

Hehe.. Nice sensationalism.. :)
Combi's (if it is one) have a safety feature of a Pressure Release Valve (PRV) - generally set at 3.5bar - if your lucky to have water pressure above that, the valve will kick in a release water outside via a small copper pipe. Boilers are fine up and beond that.

Seems the OP ain't that bothered about it all anyway.
