First time driving to Swindon... anybody with 'local knowledge' on good car-parking / pub visiting tactics ??

I think as it's a Sunday the streets around the ground are free to park in. (Though if they are safe or not is another matter, the game wasn't quite so important last time I guess)

The railway station car park is also likely to be empty (unless they have car boot sales there) and not far from the ground.

Might also be free on Sundays.

Pull up parallel to the car in front of the space you wish to park in. Put the car in reverse and bring the steering wheel full lock to the left (i'm assuming you are parking on the left hand side of the road) and you reverse into the space. When you see the curb in the passenger side wing mirror take the lock of quickly but steadily and continue to reverse slowly. Once in the space you can correct yourself if you have gone wrong somewhere.

These instructions are applicable throughout the week, not just Sundays.

Or have a knee operation (like I did last time) and they let you park right outside the ground!!
