One of the best groups on Facebook.

Some fabulous memories on there...great pictures of the teams and supporters from times gone by. Even links to YouTube videos of our great days!

Highly recommended.

I am. Very good. Someone needs to repost those crazy Sun sketches of some of our 1979 players on here. They are terrible!

A bit off topic but has anyone recently heard about the planned development on the Sackville estate/Goldstone retail park?

There's big plans to completely knock down the Goldstone retail park (yay) and redevelop it into a shopping/restaurant complex. They're even planning on resurrecting the centre spot of the old pitch. My friend went to a residents meeting about a planned dump site being built on the bottom of Fonthill rd. This was where he found out about the Goldstone retail park redevelopment plans.

I've had a quick look.

I was thinking of downloading the content and re-purposing it, as....

1. A lot of people don't use Facebook
2. Facebook groups have a habit of being removed on Facebook's whim, meaning it would be lost.
3. There's some really good stuff that deserves a wider audience.

Good idea. Perhaps a dedicated thread for Goldstone memories.

That group has from nothing to amazing in a very short time.

I'm confused, i thought you were a Huddersfield supporter who now lives in Brighton hence frequent this board, so why the interest in the Goldstone?
