The Argus do a sponsored ride to Paris and gets you there the day before The Tour finishes.
They also do the South Down Way ride in May, get in some training for this one if you don't ride much.

If the car in front of you indicates to turn left across you, it is acceptable to keep going and undertake the car just as it turns.

Given your sarcastic intent, that is really not f***ing funny at all. Dozens of cyclists die every year because vehicles cut them up just as you clearly feel you have a right to. When you cut up a cyclist to turn left, you're putting their life on the line.

Obviously you are completely missing his point! If a car in front of you is indicating to turn left, what you don't do is to continue cycling your bike inside of it. Its not the car driver putting the cyclist's life in danger, it's the cyclist itself.

Hmm, this is hard to explain in words without a diagram. Maybe you're right, in which case I'll withdraw gracefully (I mean, obviously if someone's cycling behind an indicating car, they shouldn't pull up alongside).

But I don't recognise the problem you describe. What happens to me regularly as a cyclist (in London - maybe Brighton is different) is drivers from the the lane to my right (sometimes while overtaking and sometimes already ahead of me while travelling at a similar speed) pulling across my lane in order to turn left, forcing me to either crash or slow down/stop. It's called cutting up, and car drivers do this to cyclists much more than they do it to other car drivers.

And because it's such a frequent occurence, that's what I assumed vegster meant. I hope I'm wrong.

I agree with this, a motorcyclist wouldn't do it as its obviously dangerous, but some cyclists feel they have some sort of supreme right to cut everyone up. If a car (a small one albiet) cut in on the left side of a car as it was indicating left, and as the car turning left hit it, who would be at fault?

Sadly Hola is right, as much as I hear you brother WNW.
All the time there are fellow cyclists other their playing fast and loose with there own lives, there's no clear cut answer, to this.

Not sure I understand the situation in London you describe???
Surely if traffic was entering your cycle lane and cutting you up, they would be underaking, not overtaking??? Unless you are not travelling in the same direction as the rest of the traffic flow that is?!!!

Thank you, my point entirely.
