Monumentally bad decision.

Am really enjoying it though, a good old fashioned throwing of the kitchen sink at the 10 men.

Goal not given strange to think why.

Official on the goal line correctly was signalling for a free kick following Defoes foul on the defender who cleared the ball of the line during the build up, it just took a long time for the ref to realise what that official was trying to signal

I think this is the case. It was an obvious foul by Defoe and the ref really should have blown for it himself without relying on the assistant IMO.

As a spurs fan as well as Albion, it was a shocking decision to not allow Defoes goal. However, even though it was a poor challenge, play was allowed to continue and the goal should have stood.
Having said that, we were shit in the first half and should have done better anyway.

Not interested in the result other than for bet purposes. But why are the commentators bleating on about a terrible day for British football in this cup?
No manager is the least bit interested, other than giving the second string a run-out. Total Bollocks,

Have to disagree, how many times have you seen a linesman flag but the ref fail to spot them for several seconds before the ref finally brings back play. It shouldn't matter as long as the correct decision is made (as was in this case with a free kick awarded for a foul by Defoe during the build up)

This is where it went wrong in my opinion, as the official who was on the line did NOT signal, he was shouting (and not straight away at that!) as were god knows how many thousands of mad Paok supporters behind him, as much as the correct decision was eventually given, how they got there was a farce.
