I'm being transparent. I hate cheating, even if it's my own team. There is a big reason that our fanbase moans about referees the most.Arsenal fan, you say? I’m gobsmacked by that news.
Cleaning up referees would benefit us the most. It also goes against club tribal loyalties.
I cannot enjoy a win (of my own team) if it's due to referee error/corruption. I become dead inside. Zero joy or jubilation.
Watch the below penalty (2:45 in). This is a ludicrous penalty. This is the one occasion last season that we won a game from corrupt refereeing. I couldn't celebrate the performance or win after this game because it simply was not fair.
At this point, my hatred for corrupt referees exceeds any tribal loyalty. I specify my team as an example because that's the team I watch the most. I have deliberately taken time to actually sit down, study and analyse how matches are officiated.
I am active on social media, actually spelling out how referees manipulate PL games in great detail. Ex-PL referee Keith Hackett follows my main social account where I regularly call officials corrupt and spell out specific patterns which cannot statistically be a coincidence.
