When you say "returning from Qatar" you mean "just finished playing for Pakyan, an Iranian club in the Persian Gulf Pro League". When you say "ex Villa" you mean "last played in the Championship in 2011 managing a huge SIX games for Cardiff, having been too gash to play for BOLTON". When you say "34" you mean "past it". When you say "came up recently" you mean "you suddenly remembered his name while making a cup of tea and logging on to Football Rumours".

Stop ruining a great thread with facts [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

What time should I pop back to read about our new signing rather than a thread derailed by yet more left back waffling?

I actually had a chuckle when I read that post as well. It fell a bit like a bloke in a pub saying. There's a job going down at Halfords or Mc Donald's. Give them a ring and see if it is still available

One would assume that the agent of of any player available out of ontract would ring clubs to ask about any possibility of a contract etc. So why shouldnt his agent ring Brighton especially as our left back situation isnt unknown.

Welcome to the Albion Anthony. Great signing IMHO. The striker is the big one tho'...

A great bit of business by the club. We needed a player of quality and we've got one. Just two more players to go now - one more winger and a striker hopefully.

Top work. Will free up Bruno a bit more with him cutting in like March.

Really hope there's another one or two of similar quality to come!

Looks like a great signing, with players coming back and extra depth, experience and quality being added things are looking good. No reason why we can't go on another run and push for automatic promotion.

Good interview with AK on Player. Seems genuinely pleased to be here and his English is pretty good (no mention of Hindi). Says his strengths are one-on-one and dribbling and thinks working hard for the team is the most important thing.

"HLN's detailed report explains that Brighton initially offered €2.25m, but this was outright refused by Standard.
Brighton returned with a fresh bid at 5pm yesterday, and the increased amount of €3.5m saw Standard accept."

"The player will receive a salary of a whopping €2m a year at Brighton, with HLN saying that's double what he earned with Standard."

Nice to see the club no play hard ball when the 1st offer was refused to get the deal done.

That's £28,000 a week.

Unlikely I reckon
