Does this mean that anyone with a smart card can travel free on the buses and trains on Saturday afternoon, even if they HAVEN'T got a ticket to the match?

I would understand the transport operators feeling a little aggrieved if this was the case.

Good one Lord B. I may just do that on Saturday - travel 'to and fro' on the 28/29 bus from Lewes to Brighton on Saturday afternoon, frantically waving my scarf out of the window shouting Seagulls each time we pass the Amex.

Just three more sleeps to the Donny game and still no official news on the Seagulls website about one-off travel vouchers. That's up to 1000 non STH's plus any Doncaster fans travelling down by car all waiting to see how they're going to get to game. OK I know the news is out now, it has gradually filtered out in dribs and drabs thanks to posters on this site but there still seem to be complications.. no tickets at the club office yesterday (says one person). Frankly I'm in a state of disbelief that I can't just board a football special and pay my fare.

I think the voucher requirement for Saturday could be a bit chaotic. Will everyone wanting to get on the bus at Rottingdean really have a voucher - when you can only buy a seasons book ? It would be much easier if vouchers were not match specific ? I am with three people who have tickets for that game - so do not need a seasons vouchers. And anyway in two weeks may decide on another method of getting to the ground.

I fear that the buses may be empty as they turn people away - then as the buses are not used, in a few weeks there will not be so many, and the issue is the inflexibility of the system.

I say this as I am pretty clued up on matters Albion - so I have no idea how others are going to get on.

Match by match vouchers are available from the club as of yesterday.

Still unclear if you can pay or use saver tickets on football specials. as opposed to P£R.

If not then special buses will run light whilst service buses will be full.

Seeing as Falmer shop shuts at 5pm during week  I assume we'll be able to still buy book of travel vouchers from Queens Road shop on Saturday middayish, or are they shutting early as match day?
