Sadly for him and us JPVH was more effective making runs into the box tonight with the ball
Ten games left including Arsenal, Liverpool, City, Chelsea and United. We’re probably one or two injuries away from going into them with a bunch of reserve / U21s.
We’re basically going to have to play whoever’s fit

He’s proved all of us who said he’s not a winger months ago correct, undoubtedly. But for the outrageous money we’re spending on him, I think it’s fair to expect him to take his man on.
Ultimately, it looks like poor recruitment. At best, imbalanced recruitment, especially with RDZ as manager. A man who doesn’t need a pocket 10 like Fati as much as he needs wide players who take defenders on. Especially when you already have several players who could play in the 10, and only three who can actually play as proper wingers, one of whom was ruled out for the season months ago, and two others who missed months because of international tournaments.
Poor recruitment decision from the club.
Poor performances from the player.
(Possibly) poor use of him from the manager.

What did he do bar one decent cross and a shot from 30 yards?
I’m not saying the names you’ve mentioned were better, but I didn’t see Fati contribute anything much more meaningful than them.

He's clearly a talent, but I just don't think he looks overly bothered. Its always a danger when a player arrives on loan from a bigger (in this case HUGE) club, making a step down. He's easily brushed off the ball, doesn't run the channels or overly exert himself when we're out of possession. And when he gets on the ball he invariably runs down blind alleys into traffic. I can't remember the last time he actually beat a player.
I can probably count on 1 hand the positive contributions he's made this season. Sadly he's been a huge let down, and I expect Bloom is very disappointed at the financial outlay on him, compared with the return. I was cock-a-hoop when we signed him, but we ended up with a largely disinterested crock. I certainly won't miss him next season.

Absolutely shithouse of a player. May have some skill but absolutely no heart. much prefer we use one of youngsters than this primaddona!
I don't think I can defend him anymore. Didn't even try taking anyone on tonight and offered next to nothing yet again. His 'flick' into touch when he could've just controlled the ball really f***ed me off.

You haven't properly made it as a serious Prem side until you have a player earning £150K a week who does f**k all.
That was horrible. Desperately needed the ball, let's try a half arsed flying back heel. It's the way he just shrugs and walks off that gets me. And how phenomenally weak he is. Its like watching a kid try and play with adults. Buonanotte can't be much bigger and yet he's solid as a rock and doesn't get cowed by bigger boys.
