He hasn’t played more than once for 90 minutes, the whole of last season.
Mostly it is 15-20 minutes.

4 knee operations has taken its toll, people expecting him to play 90 minutes anytime soon are mad.
90 mins is irrelevant, he was fit the entire season. Played 1821 minutes across 51 games, scored 10 at an average rate of 1 goal every 182 mins and was a 19-20yr old competing against other Barcelona stars for a place in the team. He played in all but 2 of their league games, every Champions league match, the Europa League, both domestic cups and also managed to squeeze in 3 appearances for the Spanish senior team. You name me another 19yr old with better stats than that at the highest level ? There won't be many if any at all.

He will be playing 90 minutes sooner than you think.

That's why he's here, from both ours and Barcelona's perspectives.

It won't take long to have him match fit. He is here to regain fitness and confidence so he can play at the very highest level again.
He already is match fit?

He's played in all 3 of their league games so far this season.

Indeed - this argument that he is still plagued with injuries seems to be spurious. He played in 51 games last season.

Anyone know if players go to the Montefiore in Hove still for part of their medical? If so might pop across just in case....

Agreed. The question mark isn't really over his fitness to get out there and play. It's whether he can ever attain the levels he was hitting before a nasty knee injury and complex recovery. Even if he can't, we probably(!) have a lower level of expectation of our players than Barcelona fans and might well be very satisfied with what we see. A year in a welcoming environment that's less of a pressure cooker might be just what he needs. Let's hope so.

There seems to be a hideous underestimating of this guy's ability.

Think Vicente, then think about Vicente aged 20, then add an additional 50% ability (at least).

Fati will be by far the best player ever to wear the stripes by a country mile.

He will impress, continually. We will have never seen anything like it. We will be talking about it for decades, just like Vicente.

Just don’t think about his buyout clause.

I think he’ll be shithouse. Too much hype like this. 🤪
