I just love the way that people on here love to defend billionaire corporations defrauding the hard working taxpaying population of this country. I think the age cap doffing and forelock tugging is back. F**king pathetic. These companies are ripping you off to the tune of Billions of pounds, and next you'll be asked to cough for the mistakes and profligacy of another bunch of rich greedy f**kers, whilst these scumbags continue to line their pockets at your expense.

Dont go to these establishments you din if you dont like it. Respond within 2 minutes where you have bought your Xmas presents for your family....No need for product names but just the establishments. Time now 13.43....clock is now ticking

Did anything happen then? I was in Churchill Square about 12ish and there were more police than students :shrug:

Now Mr FatAddict, after your rant from your previous time-scales that we should have known. As the leader of this thread and giving it your high and mighty you quite clearly stated

The Brighton one is due to start at noon at the Clock Tower as before, and the targets will most likely be the usual ones;

Now taking that on board I with gritted teeth had chosen to finalise my Xmas shopping before 12.00 noon as advised by yourself previously as that is the time WE should know you are going to protest. I will be with my son and my daughter. But now your post says it now starts at approx 11.30. Tell you what pal anyone comes near my kids, their fair game and they will get it. Can You post the url detailing the change of time on this board please. apparently its all over the interweb you say ? You my friend have just fuc;;d up your whole argument in one post. I would personally invite that any of these soap dodgers like yourself lardo, introduce yourself to me tomorrow if you can get away from your keyboard. Trust me there will be a fight-back tomorrow, I know one or two (??) who will be there. You'll need the police

WTF? Are you on drugs or something? My argument is invalid as I advised people to avoid the area from 11.30am and the protest is due to start at noon? Er, I was just assuming people might start assembling a bit in advance, rather than just suddenly drop from the sky onto the Clock Tower at exactly midday to the second? Do you never turn up a bit early for things? No silly me, of course not, you always arrive at football matches exactly at kick off time to the dot, etc. You numpty. I have already made clear that I am nothing to do with the protest and wouldn't be attending, but I hope you had a pleasing conversation with any protestors you might have encountered, and I trust they helped start to educate you in the issues involved. As I understand it, Santa Claus superglued himself to BHS. Go Santa!

Did the Hippies get a beating?

Minor demostrations outside Bhs and some other shitty High St chain a bit further along. The latter had about 4 protesters outside and a Santa glued to the door, and about 40 plod stopping people going in. There was a Santa glued to the Bhs door as well. Oh, and some fat chav asked me if I was "a sponger as well?"

Some of the arguments between the protesters and the public (well, chavs that seemed to want a bit of argy bargy) were amusing. Whatever you think of the protesters at least they are coherent and can reason and debate.....and form sentences.

Probably the most over policed thing I've ever seen! There were two people on the little roof in front of BHS most of the day, I take it they were protesters? Never saw more than about 30 protesters all day. There was something quite ironic about hippies protesting about tax evasion.

Well that was a bit of a damp squib. I saw about 15 people by the clock tower and about 40 policeman scattered around the area happily clocking up the overtime. My wife said that the police had organised the whole thing to get a bit of extra Christmas cash - mind you she also thinks Princess Di was killed on the orders of Prince Philip.

I've never seen Brighton so empty on the Saturday before Christmas though. We got there at midday (maybe the demo had taken place earlier?) and were able to give all our money to the evil capitalists of BHS, Boots and Habitat without being bothered by police, protesters or other shoppers. A leisurely bite to eat and we were home, unstressed, by three.
