Really starting to become annoying now, the tradition of 3pm kick offs is being very quickly forgotten. However, it's nice that Sky are so keen to keep showing us. I don't really understand why though, because we aren't particularly attractive to watch. The Amex is the main draw though I would have thought, they just love visiting the place. And rightly so. And financially it is good news for the club so overall it's a good thing but it is very annoying. Just another part of our upward cycle.

This far down and no one seems to be slagging off Paul Barber for it. Must be and NSC record!!!! Personally, I prefer this time as it means can have a few drinks in Lewes before the game, followed by some at the club followed by a few more in the evening back in Lewes. Win Win.

Of all the variants to 3pm a late afternoon kick-off is my favourite. It gives you most of the day and most of the evening to do other things.

Agree with this, and the atmosphere always seems to be a bit livelier as well. I guess drinking all afternoon watching Soccer Saturday helps

The AMEX is set up so Sky can plug and play. Easy for them.

exactly this. they have cables already run throughout the stadium. all they do is turn up, run their cables from their set up outside to the cables ready for them and then as if its magic the game gets shown on sky.

Do you have a night life? ???

Final whistle around 7.30, pleanty of time to get home, have a spot of dinner, watch a bit of telly, then set off for your night out.

Sky seem to have a love-in with us and the Amex at the moment, it's the 3rd game being shown on Sky this season from the Amex and our 4th on it. We must have been shown more than PL teams !!

you're crazy man! i dunno about the other fella but i aim to get home at 12-1am these days if i go out. only exception is going out in brighton i suppose. sod that in the winter. i prefer a nice warm pub! the 5.20 games certainly don't give you plenty of time. in fact you literally get home and go out. no time for dinner or TELLY :lolol:

Swindon, start of the season? (I know it not league, but was still Sky)

Forgot that one.

For some reason that game has gone completely out of my head.

True.

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get another away game. (Unless we have a cup run).

Home by 8-8:30, bit of scram, out by 9:00, 3-4 hours doing what takes your fancy, or longer if you have the stamina

We'll also lose the home Saturday game v Blackburn if we beat Newcastle or they beat Bristol City.

home by 8.30-8.45... nice cooked dinner, then eaten and washed up by 9.45. walked to pub by 10.15... might as well just stay in and watch MOTD which is what i do now when we have an evening 5.20pm game.

much prefer the 12.45pm kick off or at least the 3pm.
