I really enjoyed seeing Amir Khan on terrestrial TV, following his career etc, and I was watching the cricket a minute ago on Sky and noticed that he has signed for sky and his fights are going to be on "Box Office" ie paying extra to the £90 odd I pay per month.

This is just rediculous. The only way to see any decent boxers these days is to pay extra for it!!!

I wonder if he will lose support for this

If a vast amount of people had not switched to Sky in the first place then it would not have such a monopoly on sports channels. The public have made their bed.

I had Sky for one year whilst at Uni and thought it was rubbish. Endless channels of nothing. Endless crass self-promotion. I would only got it for the sport and if there is something I am desperate to watch, then there is a means and a way.

I wouldn't want it now as I would feel uncomfortable paying large sums of money to line the pockets of those that are exceedingly rich as it is.

Does anyone actually pay for Sky Box Office to watch Amir Khan? Surely the interest is minimal if its free let alone paying for it. I can understand coughing up a tenner (or whatever it cost) to watch Hatton take on Mayweather but Amir Khan to defend his 'Intercontinental Lightweight title' against someone you have never heard of from Columbia?

Its like stumping up cash to watch Bolton V Blackburn. You must be joking.

I'm gutted that just before Beijing all UK cycling has been signed by Sky.

Talk about missed opportunity by UK cycling, all that success splashed all over the beeb, could only have been good for them.

I'm not that boring in real life.....I hope.

I just don't see the point in shelling out sums of money to Sky. For instance, I would not have been able to see much of the ODI series yet, unless I want to take the day off and sit indoors watching the box. I would miss much of the Test matches to boot.

There are large quantities of football that does not interest me and I found that having Sky encouraged me to dictate my life around what I wanted to watch to get my moneys worth.

Ethically, I attempt to avoid paying anything that ends up in the pockets of millionaires, although that is not entirely avoidable of course! But there are some easy decisions along the way.
