Run by a very short sighted NIMBY.

Hadlee said:Its been on another thread but if the decision is yes to Falmer, other parties have 91 days to chalenge the decision, ie Judicial review.
LDC (Norman Baker) has already stated he will accept whatever the decision is as final, so it will be just a few Falmer residents who will have to put an awful lot of money where their mouths are !!
The Large One said:Interesting that. Everythng is in place to launcha judicial review if it's a YES, but under the same process, if it's a NO, presumably they would be arguing that it was all fair and above board.
That statement alone (their original one) basically precludes any decent argument they have for lodging a judicial review.
In other words, they have already decided to lodge the appeal, albeit they are now obliged to go it alone. That's one hell of a whack of wedge to find.

Hadlee said:Another interesting thought is I can see Norman Baker actually trying to dissuade any Falmer residents contemplating challenging the decision (if its a yes) ...........Now would that make him our hero ?
Hmm, and I believe them and all.Seagull73 said:Nope. LDC have already said they won't....

There is only room for ONE hero called Baker, and his name isn't NormanHadlee said:...........Now would that make him our hero ?
