Ankergren had too many chances?

A couple of weeks ago I was pro Ankergren but after another howler tonight I think it's time to think about getting a loan keeper in to challenge him for the starting line up. His kicking was atrocious and the 1st and 2nd goal were very soft.

Brezovan must now step up and be counted, Ankers does not deserve to be our number 1 keeper any longer .Gus preaches play for your place in the team Ankers is failing to do that and must be replaced.

Ankergren has failed to convince, but I can't see how you can possibly blame him for any of those goals tonight. The first was Dunk's fault for letting him get the shot away, which having been allowed to do so, he slotted it right in the corner. The second was a 100% fluke, a massive miskick which would have thrown any keeper. He did well to very nearly readjust and almost got it. The third was a decent strike in the corner - once again the defender has got to stop him turning and getting the shot away.

Shambles all round, but on this occasion not Ankergren's mistakes.

Ankergren is only looking crap because the defensive back 4 are making silly errors that puts him under even more pressure than needed.

Brighton factually.....
Ankergren and im affraid KLL are both proving that the step up is maybe a step to far. Leeds let Ankergren go when they moved up and we will need to do the same give me Julián Speroni anyday he kept Palarse up last season and is a class act.

There was a newspaper article a couple of days ago comparing us to Arsenal and the journalist said we needed a goalie like Kasper Schmeichel between the sticks instead of Ankergren.

He is a decetn L1 keeper. To flappy and makes to many mistakes to be a Champ keeper. Decent shop stopper mind.

Now we understand why Leeds found him surplus to requirements as soon as they were promoted to the Championship.
He doesn't command his box or defence, flaps at crosses etc. his kicking is poor and I have heart failure everytime the ball is played back to him. Apart from that he is fine. Actually I might sound harsh but he needs someone really pushing him for a place to make him raise his game.
Are Brez or Poke up to the job?

It is all well and good to slag him off and say how shit he is (might be some truth) but who out there could come in and do better is the question I would like to have answered?

Decent shop stopper mind.

That is a nonsense phrase. A goal keeper is employed to stop shots. It's his job description. It's like saying as a singer, mariah carey is a decent vocalist. Unless he's stopping shots that few other keepers do, this phrase shouldn't be uttered. It's redundant, and in the case of Casper in the last few games, inaccurate.
