Whing was absolutely superb yesterday. He won every tackle and he was out of position aswell which made his performance superb.

however, Sully (except the 2nd goal which i didnt really see properly, and why he didnt move) Davies and McNulty all had half-decent games
shame elphick came off early too

Whing was class today in terms his 100% effort and commitment. Did anyone else notice how when we went 2 down he was barking at the rest of the team as they trudged back for the kick off. I also like the way Whing and McNulty make a big point after every game of clapping all the fans in every part of the ground. That showed respect for us paying £25 particularly games like yesterday.

On a lighter note am I the only one who can see that Whing has a look of a young Albert Steptoe

I have been a critic of Whing but must hold my hand up and say that he was good and showed a lot of guts against Crewe. His sliding tackle near the end, although we were well beaten by then, was superb. He could have been excused for just letting the player and ball go as it wouldnt have affected the result but no he got stuck in well done to him.
