Brighton factually.....
Rest in peace sir, you were an important member of a very influential and seminal band for me and millions of other fans.
59 is no age

How terribly sad.
Only 4 years older than me.

Was given a ticket to see them at the dome in 85(ish)
Had previously decided they were wankers, but that night opened my eyes.

One of my favourite bass players, genius in terms of melody on God's own instrument.

RIP Andy, my house will ring with The Smiths tomorrow.

One of my favourite bands of all time - he was just 59. Another part of my youth gone.šŸ˜¢
It feels wrong to "like" your post but thanks for starting the thread. It's impossible to have one favourite Smith's song as there are so many but the one below is one of my favourites.

For any "youngsters"/under 40s reading this who've never heard of The Smiths and don't know what the fuss is about, if you like guitar/indie music then have a listen to them. If you find Morrissey's voice irritating (it can be a bit whiney I admit) try to look past that and just listen to the music. For catchy guitar riffs there really is nothing better.
