So very very sad. Only briefly met Andy once, at the Victory Parade. Smashing bloke, full of life and fun.

There's a thread on the official site messageboard - I know it would be deeply appreciated by his family if as many of NSC as possible added to that thread also.

Tragic news. My thoughts are with all his family and friends.

Rest in peace, Andy.

Andy Magrath was a Brighton fan living in Woodiingdean. He died on 12th August whilst on holiday in Spain. He was 37, married with two children. It was a heart attack.

I met Andy whilst queuing up for tickets for Cardiff and got chatting during the hours of waiting.
He went on the Seagulls Special with us and also met up for the Victory Parade.
A great sense of humour and I know one or two of you met him as well.

He has already had a funeral service in Spain but his family are having a memorial service here in Sussex

Here are the details:-

Here as promised are the details of Andy's memorial service: Celebration of Andys life
Sunday 5th September at 5pm,
at St Philips Church,
New Church Road, Hove.
(corner of Richardson Rd)
Everyone welcome. If anyone would like to speak as a representative of Brighton and Hove Albion, please leave a message on website. (the official message board)
( subject to numbers).
No flowers, but donations payable to British Heart Foundation, c/o Kate Lewis,106 The Greenways, Ovingdean, BN2 7BL.
Please all wear bright clothes, no black!
Thank you for all your kind thoughts.
It would be great if some Brighton fans were there, and Andy would love it they wore they Brighton colours.

Ned & I will be going in our Brighton shirts.

:bounce: back on to Page One.

Andy's Memorial Service is tomorrow - details above.

As Yorkie says, all Albion fans welcome. If going, please try and wear colours. Cheers.

I've just noticed this again and the thought of somebody of 37 dying like that is terrible.

I hope there will be a few Albion people at the service. He'd like that

Seeing that photo is really bizarre, he was a couple of years ahead of me at Seaford Head School in my sister's year, although I didn't know him personally.

RIP Andy, a sad loss.
