Saw them at Jenkinson’s Bar in ‘81 - the gig where their reel to reel tape drum machine broke!

As previously mentioned, rather under rated as a floppy haired synth pop band in the U.K., but found great success elsewhere.

Of all the band members, he was the most clean living and the one you’d least expect to die at such a relatively young age! RIP Andy.

As previously mentioned, rather under rated as a floppy haired synth pop band in the U.K., but found great success elsewhere.

They’re absolutely huge here. On the last tour they routed through Berlin three separate times: first at the Olympiastadion (70,000), 2 nights at Mercedes Benz Arena (17000 capacity) and then ending the tour with two nights at Waldbühne (27000).

I went to the Olympiastadion and one of the MBA gigs.

Gutted when I saw this last night...Depeche Mode were one of my "go-tos" in my teen years & beyond.
I shall be sticking a few of their albums on today for a trip down memory lane...
