I've just heard he's the ref tonight - please God tell me this isn't true - he's a plank of the highest order and we've had enough of those this season

To be honest though, it would be difficult to find a referee at any level that isn't a plank. Most of the so called elite make gigantic cockups on important decisions so it's no surprise that those further down the pecking order are even more incompetant!

I do hope he remembers to put this in his top pocket tonight....

I fail to see how having Andy D'Urso could be any worse than any other referee.

Blaming officials is starting to get a tiny bit repetitive IMHO, we are where we are in the table because of our own incompetence, not because of a few debatable officiating decisions.

And as for getting twitchy about them before the game's even STARTED...

Shouting at the ref is a significant part of the fun of the event - or is that just me?

Mr Friend was not the ref at Orient. He did a recent game at Withdean when he was being assessed by Graham Poll and there was doubt about the pitch being fit to play on. I think the ref at Orient was a Mr Cook from Surrey.

Suprised it is Andy D'Urso as he is from East London, I think, so it seems unusual that he would ref a Charlton home game. It is like having a ref from Haywards Heath at Withdean.

Hate him after Luton however, he was impressive when we won 2-0 last time we had him.

Don't think they worry about such things these days. The ref at Leeds was from Yorkshire. I know it's a big county but....
Anyway I thought D'urso was OK last time but he can often get the crowd going with some of his antics.
