Have bunged in a tenner. But not impressed. An EHIC card is free and grants you access to the same medical rates as locals. And if you can't be arsed to do that, then bog standard medical insurance for a 3 day euro-trip costs less than 20 quid.

Basically educate yourself. You might think bad stuff only happens to other people. But guess what? You are other people. Ask anyone uninsured who came off a moped in Thailand. Their families need to Gofund tens of thousands of pounds to get their loved ones home.

Basically don't be a dick. If you can afford the flights and accomodation, then you can afford the insurance. NSC won't always be there to pick up your medical bills.
And... RELAX :smokin:
My late dear Mum (RIP) always told me "If you have nothing good to say then say nothing." Wise advice.

Tho you went ahead and said it anyway
It's somewhat difficult to give wise advice without actually 'saying' it don't you think ? Unless of course you are a Jedi - pretty sure my Mum wasn't.

Seriously doubt many - if anybody - would have considered funding the guy for 'stolen goods and lost passport'. Can I get my tenner refunded? ???
I've just done a tenner, fully knowing the details.

We're part of a community, this is about helping one of our own and spreading the pain between us. All it needs is 50 people to donate less than the price of a couple of beers.

*edit* Although I respect anyone's right not to bother, I hate the peer pressure that can be attached to fundraising. Each to their own

That's not what the post originally said until it was edited 17 minutes ago

Why be an asshole?

What's a tenner to help lessen the burden of someone within our (relatively) small community?

Erm, I'd rather not have a blade in my arse, thank you very much - that also extends to Sheffield fans, :)
But yes, a few quid from each of a large community and the target will be reached.

Great post.

There is 100% no need to donate and Andy was reluctant to ask for anything. In the old days we’d just have had a whip on the train to the next away. Internet just makes it easier.
