Ooh, I had disc trouble years back after a motorcycle accident and ended up in traction in hospital for three months.
I had to learn to walk again as my body had forgotten how to, I did recover, but it still gives me gyp on occasion.

He had a prolapsed disc pressing a nerve (which required surgery in early September), and this month fractured his ankle, which also required surgery.
