Head and Shoulders above any politician. Class.

Not even on the same level as the MP trying to save the officers life?

I am not asking her to actually fight (as well you know) but no doubt security would have been capable of safe guarding her. I was never the biggest fan of Thatcher, but IMHO the decision to continue the Tory conference the day after The Grand was not only correct, but the only one too take.

No doubt her security team thought it probably wasn't a good idea to keep the PM in the area under attack.

I agree, a very rousing and defiant monologue but it did occur to me, I wonder what the CEO of Poundland thinks of having his company's name metaphorically linked with such a barbaric act. I know they say any publicity is good publicity.....

Anyone see the footage of May being escorted out of Westminster ? Some leader,Churchill must be turning in his grave.

I can't believe she didn't confront and kill that jihadi in hand to hand combat herself. Weak leader.

I have replied to that point, Parliament did the correct thing in sitting the following day. As for the action if the individual MP I hope that any of us here never have to face a situation like that, but should any of us have to let's hope we can respond in a similar manner.

True, just a little rib-tickling, no offence. I replied without reading the whole thread. Still a bit silly though as I don't think anyone could say that Theresa May hasn't handled the whole affair with dignity and calm.

Wellesley, May was calm and genuine,it' just at times like this an address like Neil delivered hits home harder than what any politician is likely to deliver. Some may even call it Churchillian ?

Amazing speech which took a lot of balls as it will have opened him up for someone to take a pop.

Delivered by a scotsman , so maybe some of those who feel Scotland should be removed from the UK should think again
