I felt that the Brighton attack was far too laboured against Walsall, and it seemed to me that a big reason for this was the fact that we insisted on building through Navarro.
When Walsall backed off, Navarro did indeed make the passes, but IMHO not enough of them were passes that actually hurt Walsall.
The majority of his passes in that game were backwards though, so many times he just went 5 yards back to Whing who would then lump it forward himself. I think Dicker plays this role far more effectively, because his distribution is intelligent rather than always being the simplest pass even if it goes nowhere, which is what I thought Navarro did in that game.True but you don't always need someone to put in those passes. Dropping Navarro for Dicker is a complete NO BRAINER. A Crofts/Dicker combo in central midfield will simply RIP this division apart.
