Andrea Consugli - Goalkeeper

Brighton & Hove Albion have joined the race to sign Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello, and also keen on Sassuolo No.1 Andrea Consigli. Sportiello has already been linked with a move to Liverpool after claims last summer the Merseyside club put in a bid for the player.

Source? Would be surprised if we are in the market for a new number one. Stockdale hasn't put a foot (or hand) wrong this season and it doesn't seem like he'd want to leave. No matter what division we are in can't imagine it being that high a priority. Certainly a long way behind getting two strikers in.

If we were to get promoted I would much rather we signed an experienced old head in the mould of Shay Given or Brad Friedel who would be happy to sit on the bench and pass on their experience to Stockdale but who could do a decent job if called on.

Perhaps he will replace Ankergren as most teams have 3 keepers and perhaps Walton isnt considered to be ready yet.
