Its not easy though. Players from wealthy countries often struggle with attitude when they suddenly find themselves bathing in money. Coming from a quite poor country, like Andone does, its probably even harder.

Too bad it didnt work out in Cadiz, would have been the best for everyone involved.

Are you still here, you nasty individual!

Football contracts are like another planet. Seems strange that they can sack managers but not sack players, especially if the player seems to be deliberately not trying (difficult to prove i guess). Surely, seems unlikely now he would go back out on loan. I he cant make it in Cadiz then he would likely need to go to a EFL League 1 or 2 team and he's never going to do that willingly.

Thing i find bizarre is you would think he would do his utmost with 6 months to go to try and get a new contract somewhere in the summer. I suspect this guy will be forced out of football.....although maybe Millwall might like his "fightin spirit :) " and snap him up on a free.

I may be alone in this, but I have some sympathy for Andone. I think on a number of occasions he has let himself down. I suspect this has often been due to frustration at his own form, I know many disagree.

Anyone who saw him play pre-season could see he was a long way off the fitness and form of his prime and that he had a long, slow and maybe unsuccessful journey back to form and fitness. It seems that expectation in Spain were that he would be able to pick up where he was when he left Spain and that was unrealistic.

I hope he can find another move and start to enjoy his football again. he could do with an upturn in fortune after a long run of injuries and setbacks.

Baffling that the man seemingly cannot think to himself that a good attitude could save his career from dwindling to nothing. Strange one.

One day he may well reflect on this.
Unfortunately he will be too old and fat for football by then.

Utterly ridiculous post, if you knew half as much as you think you do then you’d be aware that Andone grew up in Spain and a majority of his youth football was there.

He’s still got 18 months on his Brighton contract. It doesn’t expire until summer 2023.

Why is it ridiculous? It's not unusual that people who go from making 0 to making millions struggle to keep their feet on the ground. Didnt know that about Andone however, so I guess it might not apply to him.

I guess some players earn so much money that this is more important than enjoying playing football. They are young and want to enjoy other things in life. Others sacrifice other aspects of their youth for their love of playing football.

Yup.. and I really dont blame them. The football world is sick in every sense. Too much money, too much pressure, too much hyperbole and attention. Obviously a fantastic job but cant be easy to deal with for all these young men.

Because it’s based on a prejudice of him from where he was born when in truth anyone of any background and any up bringing can struggle when they come into a lot a of money. Even those who have been around money their entire lives.

You are quick to jump on anyone who criticises Aaron Connolly, even going as far as accusing posters of bullying him. But you don’t seem to have any problem with having a pop at Andone in a worse way than anything anyone has posted about AC, but we’ve seen plenty of evidence of your hypocrisy before. I’m with Publius Ovidius on this one.

Of course anyone from any background can struggle but I think it is more common if you go from nothing to all rather than from something to all.

I've had pops at Andone (not today but previously), true. I have higher expectations on footballers (and people in general) who are closer to 30 compared to those who are 20-21.

So that’s Sima coming back injured, Andone coming back with a bad attitude, to add to the ‘won a prize to be a PL player’ Dutch DJ, a Championship level Irishman, and an almost permanently injured ex England international. God we’re rubbish at strikers.
