102 in total, 3 appearances - 2 as sub, one starting where he was subbed after 68 mins (Man City away). Has he had a proper chance yet ? Not even close.

Yup, this. Considering the lengths the club went to COURT the player, you'd assume they'd give him a decent string of games to confirm what he can actually do. I get it that certain managers don't fancy certain players, and that's always going to be the case. But at least farm him out on loan in the Championship for a season to allow the player a fair crack of the whip. The Albion are just feeding him scraps currently, and that's not in anybody's best interests

Potter fiddled around with the formation in the last 5 games and it worked to a degree .

We didn't actually play a Striker up front in the middle we used Welbeck and Maupay as wingers basically from a goal kick , if they got the ball players from midfield flooded forward .

The system really confused the opposition and it wouldn't surprise me if we use this system again this season .

Unfortunately a vital component of the system, Wellbeck looks like missing the start of the season so somebody else will have to step up .

It's doubtful we will sign a striker anyway now so we go with what we have and find a way to convert the excellent chances we create .

I don’t like Burnley but they absolutely dominated us at their place last season, we were very very fortunate to get a point. This post reads like we are Man City or something.

They were the better team that day fair enough. That one was a rarity from last season from us, a poor away performance.

I think we'll control the game next week, whether we get anything is a different matter

100% this.

That said GP has given him a chance in pre season and what a goal yesterday. He may play his way into the team this season.

Learning to deal with the physicality of the Premier League is a known issue for many players.
The club have done a great job in strengthening players, who were considered to be "lightweight" .
MacAllister, March and Trossard have benefitted from it in recent seasons.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a similar programme in place for Tau to get him ready for the Premier league.

Tau had a MotM debut, fans and commentators were raving about him. His next game wasn't as good and that saw him pretty much binned off for the rest of the season.

He really hasn't been given a fair chance at all.

Surprised that Potter seems to have publicly written off Andone’s Premier League chances

Two serious injuries, more often than not, your career is terminally holed. Look at Izquierdo, still not found a club. Clearly Andone will never be the same player again.

This would ruffle the feathers of that tiresome backline of tarkowski and mee and surprise them. Stop slating andone and give the guy some positive encouragement. He defo deserves another chance, and to stick it up all you hissy retards that look for anything to slag him off.

against Arsenal would be great

What would be the point of playing Andone up front? We need to spend a fortune on a striker or we are doomed, and stupid like te recruiting team if we can't see it - all our existing strikers are rubbish, the recruitment team are rubbish, and can't find a decent striker, barn door/banjo/cow's arse etc, etc.

All this is must be true; you've told us often enough.

Andone and Maupay up front. Place your bets :

Andone to be sent off
Maupay to be sent off
Both to be sent off in separate incidents
Both to be sent off for fighting each other
15 goals between them keeping us safely mid table :)
