all off a sudden they are Brighton fans where was they when you was shit at the shitdean you couldn't even sell that out this is a sham of a club with fickle fans who will be gone when you are shit again

A view held by many outside the bubble that is bha, minus the swearing of course. Just where were all of these "loyal" fans when you couldn't even fill the Withdean, getting average crowds of around 6-7,000?
Fickle, plastic fans?
Withdean was often sold out

I'd worry more about your shower of shite club if I were you.

It's the Plastic Fan tag that always amazes me.

Surely a 'Plastic' is someone who sits at home and watches Man U or Chelsea on the TV - not someone who forks out £500 a year to watch live football for three successive years?

'Returning' or even 'new', but not 'plastic'.

Yep. At what point do the 22,000 season ticket holders become real fans.....5 years? 10, 15?

Withdean was regularly sold out, but attendances were often bought down by the away end, which..you know is included in the attendance records.

So how do you get 25k fans into a 7k stadium? We also still had a decent away following.

The question is, where have YOUR fans gone? You sold out that dump when you were in the premier league, then all of a sudden below 18k? That's a big drop in attendances. Even Parish has called your fans fickle, so, that makes your fans fickle, and the ones who ditched you when you got dumped out the prem, plastic. So therefore, palace has a large amount of "plastic, fickle fans".

And we've shown you, we are not "shit". Out classed you lot in March, gone on a decent run since. You on the other hand, struggle to win, let alone score. And if we are shit, and if we go up and get battered. Can you imagine how battered your lot would be week in, week out?

I don't think all fans are that stupid. 6-7,000 was the capacity at the Withdean (it was extended bit by bit over the years, so it was eventually more, including the room for away fans that we obviously couldn't fill). Find a comparable club that lost their home and had to play 75 miles away, followed by playing at an amateur athletics track for 12 years.

You have to have been born on the terraces of The Goldstone, breast fed by Liz Costa, been to every one of the Albions last 1000 matches, home and away including Johnson Paint Trophy games, and all pointless friendlies. You have to have done a five stretch for fronting up " the Wall" at the old Den,and taking Aldershot Recreation ground, and know ALL the words to ALL the versus of GOSBTS.

Sweet Jesus who the **** are Oxford??? Bizarre. It's like being bullied by a Dover fan.

And we haven't played Oxford for 17 years. In fact the only teams we've not played for longer, in a competitive match, are are Manchester United, West Bromwich Albion, Chelsea and Everton.

...this Palace fan! The second paragraph, from another thread, is a truly damning indictment of this country's education system!

What a great day. Confirm play off place and the weird Oxford fan shows up again. We must be doing well if that freak is back.

Our loyal fans helped keep us out of administration and kept the club going.

Maybe that's why there are 3 Palace fans in our club and have'nt been to see them in 15 years...even when they were at the Amex....
