Good grief a thread started with no vitriol against REMF - well played son.

The legend that is Peter Ward swept all before him. We are not worthy

Great night, big cheers to Gareth and his friendly elves for all their efforts

Yes mate, why don't you as all you have done is pick holes in REMF recently

I see what you did there in posting it twice. Funny.

Oh, and I have also done my fair share of HELPING the REMF lately, but don't let that worry you. Just concentrate on the fact I disagree with the way that many of the team did not pull their weight helping beforehand or bothering to raise cash.

ANYHOW, tonight was a lovely night. Well done Gareth and the guy who sorted out the venue. Worked really well.

Wardy stole the show but a big hand is also due to Ricky Marlowe. What a lovely chap. AND he sported a dashing pick sweater.

Look out for Peter and Ricky's signed REMF boots going under the hammer as well.

Yes we all have and also not raised issues regardless of how we felt, perhaps you can learn from this.

After the STICK the team got last year, it is only fair to have a say this season. And no, we all HAVE NOT. That has been my point.

Anyhow (AGAIN) point has been made, moving on. Suggest you do the same.

Great journo tactics, using capitals

You should hang your head in shame, appalling

Ricky Marlowe - enlightenment sought

By all accounts the man is a legend for consuming unfeasibly large quantities of junk food and also by being (I believe) the late Robert Eaton's nom de plume on this esteemed board.

However he presumably predates my (since '83) following of the Albion so could some kind soul please fill this JCL in on his history at the club.

Ta very much.

Over what exactly?

Oh, I give up. This was meant to be a thread about another successful REMF event. SAKE.

Yes and just conveniently forget your poor rants against REMF - very clever stuff, just remember what you posted ?

Played for Derby under Clough. Even had a Cloughie Anecdote I heard tonight. Imagine having a Cloughie Anecdote.

Marlowe = TOP chap.

Honestly, give it a rest. Nothing I posted was as bad as you are making out. I said, essentially, that anyone playing should hand leaflets out (something NOBODY would disagree with) and that the way the squad was selected, with some players paying next to nothing and raising no extra cash, was wrong. Oh, and that it would have been a nice tough for someone to get Uncle Spielberg something by way of thanks.

Hardly controversial stuff.

I don't know why I am bothering to justify myself mind.

Good grief. It's like children squabbling at the end of a jolly day out.

I am trying not to rise to it...

ANYHOW, (again x2) Back to the TOPIC: Was a really nice crowd tonight and a lovely event. Looking forward to next year already (despite being TERRIBLE at pool).

Whence the Albion connection then, although I concede that he appears fully worthy of legend status without one?

He played for us. I think it was arund the same time as Wardy, although they didnt play for the first team together. (I think they played 2nd XI together a few times)
