Do your neighbours own a shirt printing iron with official FA letters and numbers available?
It’s the FA who have asked the police to identify him and charge him.
You can get shirts printed like that at most sports shop and even buy them on eBay - most likely they did it themselves or some kid working at a sports shop wouldn’t have realised etc.

I got sent the image on Saturday and didn't understand the reference, even when they said, "Hillsbrough" - I replied it was 96 wasn't it? I then Googled it to understand why it's 97 (pretty classy move of the Hillsbrough families generally to include the 97th victim in the official number). I don't think there's any blame to the shop who printed the shirt, you don't know what you don't know. I have no idea what's wrong with this person to want to get that done and then proudly wear it.

Worthing
The comedian who trained his girlfriends French Bulldog to do a Nazi salute when he shouted ‘Hitler’ was funny. He went to prison though after it being on social media.

What’s that got to do with this thread you might ask ?

He's just a rebel isn't he, a bit edgy, a little bit oooooh, a little bit waheyyyy in his own and his mates' minds.
In everyone else's he's just a sorry bellend.
He wasn’t even born when the Hillsborough disaster happened.

Pretty much what I thought when I first read the news about this. Can hardly claim it was a "mistake" when he'd had to have ordered it, paid for it and then chose to wear it. Nothing but scum really.
be interesting if it could ever be ascertained who actually printed it …

I went to a Juve vs Napoli game about 25 years ago and witnessed it. Can't believe it's still going on
Being the most hated club in Italy will do that to you, and football hooligans will say anything inside the stadium to hurt the counterpart - I'm sure they'd never say it if they were face to face with one of the families of the victims, but when they use it in the stadium they don't perceive the reality of it, it's just another historical taunt for them. And we have (more or less) become used to it, whatever comes out of their mouths is rarely something worth listening to us.

There’s a truly unpleasant edge to the United Liverpool thing which glorifies in making fun of Hillsborough and Munich, which is just utterly disgraceful
Neither of which this prick was alive at the time of. Inherited hatred, the dumbest of all.

This might be a stupid question; but if you don't ask stupid question, you don't learn...

Is it possible that the shop that printed the shirt also committed an offence?

There is a possibility that it was a 'iron it at home' job, but the alignment looks far too good.
You’re assuming they knew. Some halfwitted teenage shop assistant is not in the wrong here, it’s entirely his fault. I work with millennials who don’t know when a new government is elected, never mind have any detailed understanding of events in the 20th Century. If it’s not in their Instagram feed…

Should be dumped in centre of Liverpool with that shirt on, and made to walk home. See how far he can get. Maybe televise his attempt?
Or outside Anfield on matchday...

The winds of change have blown a lot here in the UK in the last few years. I get the impression from some of your posts that Italy is a long way behind but, hopefully, it will get there.

It will take much longer before the third word (which is rife with racism, hatred of women and homophobia: I give you India, Pakistan, much of Africa) moves on up, but it will.

In the meantime the thick nasty fuggers in the UK will find themselves inhabiting an ever-shrinking echo chamber.

Why is it such a matter of interest how this oaf got his shirt printed?

There is some suggestion that the short actually relates to Liverpool’s points total in 18/19 where they finished runners up to City on 97 points

Looking at the background of the individual I doubt this to be the case but no doubt will be his defence
